When I received the call from the customer, her husband was already at the critical stage in the hospital. According to the doctor, her husband did not have not much time left because his trachea had been removed.

She did not want to leave her husband for too long because she was worried that he would leave her at any time soon. When she asked me to meet her in the columbarium that day, she only had two hours, so she had to make a quick decision. She purchased a double niche and two ancestral tablets on the spot.

During the funeral, the customer specifically requested that an authentic Hakka Taoist priest arranged to chant sutras to send off the deceased. Since Singapore lacks of Taoist priests who can perform traditional Hakka rituals, I used my connections to invite a Hakka priest from Malaysia to come to Singapore to complete the six-hour Hakka funeral ceremony.

The entire funeral process, from the five-day funeral ceremony to the urn interment, was completed very smoothly. The customer was very pleased and moved, and kept thanking me. She also referred her siblings to me so that I could help them to complete their afterlife pre-planning.
