Lin San Temple Building and Layout
Lin San Temple is built with a fully air-conditioned environment, so that the relatives and friends could pay respects to their departed loved-ones in a comfortable, quiet and elegant ambience.
The whole building of Lin San Temple is built with 3 storey height. The main hall is located at the 1st and 2nd floors which give very high ceilings, while the 3rd floor will be reserved for future expansion to house columbarium niches and ancestor tablets.
When walking into the main hall of Lin San Temple, the visitors will be welcomed by the two-storey tall elegant Buddha (illustrated in the picture) sitting in the main hall facing the entrance. At the rear of the main hall behind Buddha, the space is divided into three independent sub-halls named: Dynasty 1, Dynasty 2, and Dynasty 3.
Dynasty 1: The current section has not yet been opened to the public.This is reserved for future development.
Dynasty 2: This hall is mainly allocated for ancestor tablets. There are a total of 15 levels or rows: Row 1 to 6 are at eye-levels which most customers would consider . The ancestor tablets are designed with colored glaze materials as the symbolic of unwavering faith in filial piety and gratitude like a rock. The ancestor tablets of Lin San Temple could be inscribed up to a maximum of four names with or without photos.
Dynasty 3: This hall consists of the columbarium niches in the arrangement of nine levels or rows. Each door panel is designed with a small Buddha sitting in the lotus flowers, representing the symbol of fortune for the next generation and rest in peace for departed loved ones. The Row 4 to 6 are at the eye-level which are most welcomed by the customers.
