Handled Funeral for a Lonely Auntie

This lonely auntie got my contact through a social worker. At the last stage of her critical illness, she asked her friend to contact me and authorize me to handle her own funeral.

Since she was a devout Buddhist, she hoped that her body would stay for eight hours after her death. This was the last wish of the deceased – to face the turning point of life peacefully and to cross the threshold of death smoothly.

That night at 8pm, she passed away. According to her last wish, we waited for eight hours. At 3am early morning, I reached her living place to meet her friend. Together with the funeral staff, we collaborated and started the funeral procedures.

Since it was a one-day funeral, the cremation was scheduled at 8.30pm that evening in Mandai Crematorium. I purposely brought along the fresh flowers to show the respect to her last journey. After her body was cremated, I and Nirvana staff conducted the “An Ling” (soul-resting) procedures for her at Nirvana Memorial Garden. When all the procedures were successfully completed, it was already 10pm at night.

As a professional life managing director, I always do my best to provide the best services. I am grateful for the trust of this lady and her friend.
